As we commemorate World Environment Day, at a time when the world in general and Kurdistan in particular are under the mercy of the tanks, artillery, and warplanes of major powers, we, as the European Green Organization – Kurdistan, call for an end to war and demand that Kurdistan’s environment no longer be a victim of international and regional conflicts.
We are still paying the price for the use of chemical weapons in Halabja, and the smoke of states’ drones continues to rain down upon us.
We call upon the relevant authorities, tourists, and all citizens to contribute to protecting the environment and not to become a cause of environmental pollution, water waste, or the outbreak of fires in farmers’ agricultural lands and forests.
